Detection of a revolution with the AZ series

Hi !

Good day!

I am using a stepper motor in the AZ series with continuous operation, and I need to know when the motor performs a revolution in order to stop the movement after specific number of revolution of the motor. I am using a motor only. Is there any output of the driver that allows that ?

What are the part numbers for the AZ motor and driver?

The AZ motor is the AZM66MK-PS50 and the driver AZD-KD.

For the AZM66MK-PS50 which has a 50:1 gear ratio the default steps per one revolution of the output shaft is 50,000. There are two ways to monitor the steps.

First is the by reading the pulse output from ASG and BSG which output a signal directly from the ABZO sensor within in the motor. For more information about ASG and BSG please refer to the link below.

Second with the AZD-AD driver it offers Modbus/RS485 communication. To check the position please read register 205 lower and 204 upper. For more information about detection position please refer to the link below.
