Q: I am currently using an AZD-A driver with an SCX11 controller. I plan on moving my actuator to a specific position and then have it return to a home location. I would also like to send a signal to the SCX11 when the actuator has reached the home position and when it is ready for another command. Do you have a return- to-home wiring example between the AZ pulse input driver and the SCX11?
A: Below is a return-to-home wiring example of the SCX11 to an AZ pulse input driver. The SCX11 was set to supply “24V” and the logic was set to “SOURCE” logic.
For a pin to pin connection please take a look at the link below.
An IMC terminal example on how to turn ON an output on the SCX11 is shown below. If the output needs to be turned ON again, the operator must first turn OFF the output before proceeding to re-turn ON the output, since outputs turn on when changing the logic from “0” to ”1”. In this example, the OUT 1 on the SCX11 would be turning on the ZHOME input on the AZD-A driver.
For instructions on how to set up the home position using the home preset switch, please take a look at the link below.
