Motorized Cart

Post by twinturbo81 » Mon Apr 12, 2010 6:48 am

We are trying to come up with a system that makes a large cart powered by allowing the wheels to turn. Currently there is 2 fixed and 2 swivel casters on it. The 2 fixed casters can be replaced or modified to have an electric motor, the controls for said motor go on the opposite end of the cart with a bicycle style handle bars with stop/start buttons. I think the cart weighs around 1000 lbs. What motor system do you recommend, please send links. The motors need to be battery powered too with a charging system.

WIthout more details, it is hard to select the exact motor, but based on your need for the motors to be battery powered, please look at our BLH Series of brushless motor products.

Depending on your requirements for speed and torque, there should be an option that will meet your needs.

As far as the charging system, you will need to develop that system on your own.
