AZD-CD Just read DINn Input signal ?

Post by dp1 » Mon Nov 16, 2020 11:40 am

I try to catch a DIN signal over MODBUS on a AZD-CD, after having dissociated that signal from any internal function in the driver.

In order to do this I write zeroes into 10 registers from address 1080h. I assume this way all DIN (DIN0...DIN9) input does not trigger any driver function any more.
1 > 10x 1080x(4224) 20 40 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] 0000x(0) 0000x(0)[0] - 09b4x
1 < 10x 1080x(4224) c52ex

After that, when any DIN signal is made, I can read over MODbus which signal(s) was(were) activated.
But it seems that the internal function was still being triggered.
i.e. I applied DIN9 and as long as the signal was active the RV-JOG was applied to the driver.
I don't want and didn't expect that.

Have I overlooked something? In my assumption incorrect?
How can I just "read" a DIN input signal?

Hello,

The registers starting with 1080h would be the DIN inputs and when setting them to 0 that would be no function. Since they are C update type they would update after executing the configuration or cycling the power after doing a non-volatile memory write. If you don't write to the non-volatile memory and cycle power after or execute the configuration it would still read the original data saved in that register.

I am still disturbed.

I think I did exactly what you say:

1). 10 registers from 1080h are set to 0.
2). then immediately (No reboot nor reconfig)
Input signal set on PIN 18 of connector CN5

Nevertheless the RV-JOG function is still being triggered as long as the input signal is applied.

I want set signal DIN9 on pin 18 of CN5 without RV-JOG being triggered !
I still do not understand what am I doing wrong or out of sequence.

Hello,

The process should be.

1. 10 registers from 1080h are set to 0
2. Save to non-volatile memory register 0193h
3. Either do a configuration register 018Dh or power cycle

If you do not save to the non-volatile memory then do a configuration or power cycle then it would still be reading the original factory set parameters in these registers. After the configuration or power cycle you can also do a read to verify if the parameters were changed to no function.
