Q. What is the bending radius of the F type and B type connection cables required for the BMU and BLE2 Series? Is it a flexible type?

R. The IP66 connection cable is considered as a standard cable for the BMU and BLE2 Series. Depending on the application you are developing you may or may not need a flexible connection cable type.

When using a standard + flexible cable combination It is important not to exceed the maximum recommended distance between the motor and drive to avoid affecting the motor performance.

BMU Series. The maximum recommended distance is 10.5 m

BLE2. The maximum recommended distance is 20.5 m

To determine whether a standard or flexible cable is required for the application we can consider two scenarios:

The first one, the cable is fixed but customer has to bend the cable while fixing it. In this case the bending radius is going to be 6x the cable diameter for both the standard and flexible cable.

Second option, the cable is moving during the operation but not fixed. In this situation only a flexible cable is allowed to be used in this way. The bending radius that we can provide will be the flexible characteristics of the cable (6x the cable diameter). The cable characteristics refers to the bending test results, such as bending radius, moving speed, moving distance, how many times can be bent, etc.
