I'm trying to remove a CBI560-801M clutch/brake from the motor (5IK60GU-AW-CBI). I've removed the four flange bolts and the two units rotate freely but do not separate. Please advise.

Hi Tony,

Our motors are not designed to be disassembled. They are designed to last the life of the motor with little or no maintenance at all. We also do not offer just the clutch brake unit by itself without the motor. The flange bracket is pressed fit into the motor case. We use the press-fit design to maintain quality of our motors. If we were only using screws, the rotor could skew if the screws were installed with different torque values.

Disassembling the motor will void our 2-year manufacturer's warranty. We would recommend against doing so. If your motor or clutch brake unit is inoperable, then we would replace the entire motor and clutch brake assembly.

If I may ask, why are you trying to disassemble our motor?
