Re: AR - Direct Input JOG

Hi Thomas, For the +JOG input this would move the motor the JOG travel amount programmed which is 1 step for the factory setting. This is referenced on page 96 of the manual that I will link below. For a continuous jog in the positive direction you should use the FWD input. This would run at the spe...

Hi Leo, The AZM66M1C and AZD-CD are compatible. To connect to the software you just need to select the "AZ series Pulse Input/Built-in Controller/Pulse Input with RS-485 communication" option under the "Product Name(Mode) List". The option you selected "AZ Series Compact Driver" is not compatible wi...

Hello, To read the speed you will have to read the Actual velocity register referenced on page 273 of the manual via RS-485 Modbus RTU. Note this will give you the speed at the moment its read it will not continuously update. From the outputs you can look at the VA or ZV parameters. VA turns ON when...

Hello Andrew,

The largest motors we offer are only 3 HP and their max speed is 340 rpm since they are only available with gearheads. We are not able to customize a motor with your required specifications.

Re: Synchronization of SCX11 with pulse generator

Hi Alex, Yes if using current source type IN-COM will be 0 V and the 5 VDC signal will go to the pin you are trying to turn on. For the INSTART and STARTACT parameter when setting them you will have to assign them a value. If you are just trying to run a saved sequence then you will have to write RU...

Hello, By no-load mode were you referencing to the push-motion mode? If this is the case you can read the TLC output that would turn on when the torque percentage programmed is meet. When it is running at a torque lower than the percentage set then it will turn off. This is not one of the factory se...

Hi Alex, In regards to your wiring diagram the 24 VDC would go to the IN-COM pin1 and the Pulse Gen BNC signals are not needed the inputs will turn on once you supply the 0 VDC to the inputs you want to turn on. Also to run another sequence or the same one you will have to trigger the START input ag...

Hi Alex, To trigger a saved program from the I/O you will have to first assign a number to the saved program 0-99. Then whatever number you assign it you will have to turn on the IN1-IN7 in a binary configuration to choose that program. Then to run it you will turn on the START input. You will have ...

Re: Motor slows under load

Hello,

If the replacement capacitor is a lower uf rating than the original this can cause it to have less torque. Also you can measure the winding resistance of the motor to see if the motor is the issue. Normally our induction motors can vary in speed 2-20% depending on the load.

Hello Mark,

You are correct if using the high resolution motor with the basic step angle of 0.36˚ then all the values in the table would be divided by 2. The tables are based on the basic step angle of 0.72˚.

Re: AZD-CD step/dir input?

Hello,

The NETC01-ECT network gateway unfortunately can't accept step and direction signals. This can only accept EtherCAT communication commands and then this would convert it to RS-485 to the driver.

Hello, Unfortunately the AZD-CD driver cannot accept pulse and direction signals. This can only be controlled via RS-485 Modbus RTU communication or the I/O. The similar drivers that can accept pulse and direction signals are AZD-CX and AZD-C. On the AZD-CD if only speed control is needed you can se...

Re: BLEM512-GFS Modbus communication

Hello, The switches and setting all look correct from your description. What you can try is reading the 0481h register to see if the speed setting for No.0 is 0 rpm. If so then you can write to this register to set up the speed. You can set from 80-4000 rpm. This register is on page 98 of the manual...
