read address for READY output

Postby alands » Thu Oct 13, 2016 10:37 am

I'm using direct data operation commands, via RS-485 modbus, to control an AZD controller, referencing manual HM-60262E.pdf

If I understand correctly, when the motor completes an action, and is ready for the next command, the "READY output" flag turns on. A search of the documentation manual does not find the memory address to read. Does anyone know the address of the READY output register?

Hi alands,

For the AZD driver, the READY output has a factory default setting of bit 5 (NET-OUT5) on the 007Fh (127 decimal) register. You can read this register in order to see when the READY output has been turned on. Please reference page 256 of the manual for the 007Fh (127 decimal) register: ... 60262E.pdf

Please note that bit 5 (NET-OUT5) is the factory default for the READY output. You can change the READY output to any of the bits in register 007Fh (127 decimal) by writing the READY (value 132 decimal) to one of the registers 1221h through 123Fh (4641 through 4671 decimal) seen on pages 405 through 406 of the manual.

**NOTE: If you choose to change the READY output to another bit location, then the original READY output bit will need to be changed as well.
