Q: What is the holding torque of your world K series AC reversible motors?
A: The holding torque generated by the friction brake in our AC reversible motors is about 5 oz-in (reference). It can be increased with a gearhead. The holding torque off the gearhead shaft will be 5 oz-in x gear ratio x gear efficiency.

It is important to note that the holding torque generated by our reversible motors typically isn't enough to hold a vertical load in place. If you need to hold a load in place, I would recommend looking at our AC electromagnetic brake motors.
